5 natural hair loss remedies
The five natural hair loss remedies we will discuss today are:
Avocado has been unknown for some time, but now it is very present on our tables and in cosmetics. This is because this fruit, which has long been ignored, has many beneficial properties. In fact, this oil is rich in vitamins C and E, and it is also known for its excellent moisturizing and restructuring properties. Many believe that applying an avocado mask once every 10 days gives amazing results over time. But above all, many believe that avocado is the best product to speed up hair growth.
What I noticed by using a natural and DIY Avocado hair mask
I tried these avocado masks and I noticed an improvement in my hair. The scalp was less dry, the hair more voluminous and strong (it broke much less when I combed it and I noticed less hair in the shower). I also noticed a slightly faster growth than usual. I am simply in love with Avocado.😍
Let’s see how to make avocado masks that will help you against hair loss and more.
Mask restructured with Avocado
3 drops of geranium oil, or
3 drops of tea tree oil.
These two oils help against hair loss.
Blend half Avocado.
Add two tablespoons of olive (You can use coconut oil as well).
Add one of the 2 essential oils, if you wish
Mix it well.
Apply the mixture on the hair and leave it on for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, I recommend washing your hair twice with warm water to completely remove the oil. You can also perform a third rinsing with cold water in order to close creatine scales on the hair. To learn more about the benefits of cold water for skin and hair, read my article 5, Natural Beauty Tips for your Hair .
The next hair mask not only helps to combat hair loss but will help against dandruff.
In short, two birds with one stone. Amazing, isn’t it?😍
Dandruff mask with Avocado
3 drops of geranium essential oil or
3 drops of essential tea tree oil, your choice
Blend the avocado.
Add 3 or 4 drops of Neem oil.
Add the one drop of lavender essential oil to counter the pungent smell of Neem oil.
If you want, add 3 drops of geranium essential oil or 3 drops of tea tree essential oil, according to your preference.
Apply the mixture on the lengths and leave on for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, wash your hair with warm water and natural or delicate shampoo. Perform the last rinse with cold water.
The last hair mask against hair loss with Avocado that we will see today is made with Avocado, yogurt and olive oil.
Avocado mask to prevent hair loss
3 drops of geranium essential oil or
3 drops of tea tree essential oil.
Blend the peel of an avocado.
Add a cup of yogurt.
Blend the mixture again.
Add one tablespoon of olive oil.
Add a few leaves of rosemary, famous for its anti-hair loss properties.
Mix the mixture well.
If you want, add the essential oil of geranium or tea tree essential oil.
Mix it well one last time.
Apply the mixture on the lengths and leave it on for about half an hour. After 30 minutes, wash your hair with warm water and natural or delicate shampoo. In this way, you will completely remove the oil from the hair. If you skip the rinse with hot water, your hair will remain greasy due to the presence of olive oil in the mask. Once you have made sure you removed all the oil from your hair, do a final rinse with cold water.
This natural avocado hair mask is an excellent natural and DIY remedy against hair loss, moreover it will make your hair visibly brighter.
Let’s now turn to another natural remedy against hair loss. The orange or rather, orange juice.
Curious? Keep on reading to discover all the beneficial effects of this fruit.😍
Who among us girls wouldn’t want to have beautiful, healthy and strong hair at a very low price? Well, today I will tell you that this is not a dream, but it is possible. Orange juice is a real beauty elixir for the skin, hair, and nails. In fact, it is rich in vitamin C responsible for the production of collagen, but also potassium, two indispensable elements for beauty. Last but not least, oranges help the hair follicles to better absorb iron. These are the reasons why orange juice is widely used in cosmetics.
Now maybe many of you will be wondering, “Okay, but how does that help combat hair loss?” Orange juice makes hair stronger, resilient and elastic and helps to prevent it from falling.
Let’s see together how to use orange juice on our hair.
Orange Juice for hair rinse
Just mix the juice of this tasty winter fruit with some water.
After that use the water to rinse your hair. I suggest you use the orange water after having done a regular shampoo.
How do you do it? It’s very simple! Add one or two glasses of juice to the water. After that, use this water to rinse your hair.
This orange rinse allows you to combat excess sebum and eliminate the oily film that covers our head. In short, using orange juice allows not only for having bright and strong hair but is also ideal against greasy hair.
Orange mask, apple, and honey
Peel and cut a whole apple to pieces.
Do the same with half an orange.
Add the two teaspoons of honey.
Blend everything to mix the ingredients.
Leave it rest for about a minute before applying it to the hair.
Firstly, apply the mixture on the skin and massage for a few minutes to facilitate their absorption. After that, apply the product evenly on all lengths. Leave the mask on for about 20 minutes and then wash your hair with warm water and natural or delicate shampoo.
Orange mask, lemon and olive oil
Squeeze half an orange and half a lemon.
Blend the peel (the peel of the previously squeezed fruit).
Combine juice, pureed shavings and add two tablespoons of olive oil.
Blend again to make the mixture homogeneous.
Apply the mixture on the skin and on all lengths. Tie your hair in a bun and wrap your hair in a towel. Instead of a towel, you can also use a transparent kitchen film or a shower cap. Leave the product on your head for about 30 minutes. Finally, wash your hair with a natural or delicate shampoo.
Why you should wrap your hair?
Because the towel or shower cap creates a warm environment that helps the absorption of the mask.
Orange mask, lemon, yogurt, and flour
1 Tablespoon of yogurt
1 Tablespoon flour
Squeeze the orange and a lemon.
Add one tablespoon of yogurt.
Add a tablespoon of flour.
Stir until you get a homogeneous and compact mixture.
Apply the mixture on all lengths and on the skin. Secondly, wrap your head with a transparent kitchen film or a shower cap to avoid having the product drip. Leave on for 20 minutes and then proceed with the usual shampoo, natural or mild.
Ancient Egyptian women knew the benefits of this product. In particular, it was known because extra virgin olive oil brings benefits to skin and hair. In fact, this oil is rich in vitamin A. Vitamin A helps prevent aging. In other words the formation of wrinkles on the skin and hair loss. In addition to vitamin A, olive oil is also rich in vitamin E, which helps the circulation of the scalp. Furthermore, this oil has antioxidant power and is rich in fatty acids that have a moisturizing power. Olive oil turns out to be an excellent natural balm that makes hair soft, and healthy.
Let’s see how to make a balm with olive oil.😍
Natural hair loss remedy with olive oil
Heat the oil in a small bowl. I recommend making it hot in a hot water bath (called Bain-marie) to prevent it from getting too hot and losing its nourishing properties.
As a first step, apply the oil strand by strand, taking care to get each hair for an optimal result.
If you fight against dandruff in addition to hair loss, you can also apply the product to your skin. For those who do not have this problem, it is advisable to start spreading the natural balm from half the length.
Wrap your head in a warm towel. You can heat the towel by putting it in the dryer for a few seconds. Instead of a towel, you can also use a transparent kitchen film or a shower cap.
After application, let the product sit for about 15 minutes.
ATTENTION!!It is very important to heat the towel or to use a shower cap. In fact, the heat helps the oil to penetrate deep into our scalp and on our hair. In this way, you will get the most of its benefits.
ATTENTION!! Did you apply the natural conditioner also on your scalp? In this case, wash your hair twice with shampoo and hot water to remove the oil from your hair. Try the last wash with cold water.
Mask restructuring with olive oil
Did you know that olive oil is also excellent for fighting and preventing split ends? Apply a few drops of oil with your hands and leave it on for a whole night. If you decide to let the oil on the hair for all night, make sure you wrap your head in a towel or a shower cap. In this way avoid soiling the pillow with oil. Obviously, girls, this mask will not work miracles. However, if you use it once a week, it will reinforce your hair and prevent the formation of split ends. Moreover, the hair will be visibly healthier and stronger.
Mask with olive oil and honey
Mixed in a bowl, two equal amounts of olive oil and honey.
How much oil should I use?
Well, girls, the amount of the 2 ingredients depend on the length of your hair. If you have very long hair, you’ll definitely need at least 2 tablespoons of oil and 2 honey. On the contrary, if you have medium-short hair, use 1 or 1/2 tablespoons of both products.
Before shampooing, apply the mixture from mid-length and massage for a few minutes. Then cover the hair a shower cap and leave for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, wash your hair with hot water and a natural shampoo in order to completely remove the oil.
ATTENTION!! This hair mask is very oily, so it may take more than 1 shampooing to completely remove the oil.
Coconut oil is a true ally of beauty. In fact, pure coconut oil is rich in saturated fats and in particular lauric acid which has a repairing, emollient and nourishing action. Moreover, it is also rich in vitamin E. This oil is excellent for all types of hair. You can use it on brittle hair or dry hair. But also on hair damaged by excessive use of a hairdryer and/or hair straighteners. And finally on hair damaged by too many chemicals ingredients present in dyes and bleaching. It is also excellent for fighting frizz and preventing split ends. If you suffer from dermatitis, you can safely use this product. Indeed, it is highly recommended because it also has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Coconut oil is widely used to make masks and wraps, let’s see how to make some of these amazing hair mask.😍
Hair mask with coconut oil
Warm in a bowl little bit of oil. I recommend heating it in a hot water bath (Bain-marie) to prevent it from getting too hot and losing its nourishing properties.
In order to give you a clue on the quantity you have to use, I have long hair, it reach half of my back and I use 2 tablespoon of oil.
Apply warm oil to wet hair and massage for a couple of minutes. Let sit for at least two hours for the oil to penetrate deeply so that you hair will get the most benefits.
ATTENTION!! Because of the oil, perhaps you will have to wash your hair with shampoo a couple of times to completely eliminate the oil.
Do you need an intensive treatment?
Do you have very damaged hair and want to proceed with a very intense treatment? I suggest leaving the oil on the head for a whole night. So, collect the hair in a braid or bun. Secondly, to avoid dirtying the pillow, wrap the hair with a shower cap. As we mentioned before the heat helps the oil to penetrate deep into our scalp and on our hair. In this way, you will get the most of its benefits.
Moreover, it is advisable to repeat the application two times a week with constancy.
Crude coconut oil vs. pure coconut oil
As we have specified at the beginning, so far, we have talked about pure coconut oil. Why am I stressing this? Because coconut oil also exists in its raw form. Crude coconut oil means it is not 100% natural oil, but it is mixed with other chemicals and other substances.
Some examples of products that use raw coconut oil?
All the products we usually buy in supermarkets or cosmetics stores, for example:
Products that we apply on the lengths before proceeding to the drying.
The oils we apply on slightly damp hair to help create a smooth effect.
This natural product is a true ally for the health of our hair. Thanks to its active ingredients, it is able to strengthen the scalp, thus reducing the possibility of losing hair. Using this oil, the hair will be healthier and shinier, and it will increase the speed of growth as well.
Flax seeds have many active ingredients since they are rich in vitamin E. This vitamin promotes foliage growth and has antioxidant action. The vitamin E promotes blood circulation in the scalp, then prevents and reduces the growth of white hair. Flax seeds also regulate and stabilize the PH of the skin. This is a very important characteristic, especially for those who suffer from excessive production of sebum and therefore of dandruff. Last but not least, this product helps to keep the hair smooth and luminous, as if we had just finished passing the plate. However, unlike the hair straightener, our hair has not been damaged by excessive heat but is healthy, strong and hydrated.
I think this last feature is the one we like best, isn’t it?😍
But now let’s see how to apply this product on our hair to get the various benefits!
Product 3 in 1 with linseed oil (conditioner, mask, and gel)
Put the flax seeds in a colander with small holes.
Secondly, put the colander in a pot with water. Make sure the water touch the flax seeds.
Light the fire over medium heat.
Make everything boil and stir until the mixture begins to thicken. When heated, water will make the flax seeds release their gel.
Add the sweet orange essential oil and continue to mix (If you have oily hair you can also add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. If you do not have this problem, I advise you not to use the lemon to not dry the skin too much).
When the mixture becomes gelatinous, turn off the stove.
Cool before filtering the mixture and collect the gel from the pot.
The game is done! Once the water or better the gel we made has cooled, place it in a resealable glass container
If used as a conditioner: apply it from half-length, after shampooing. Make sure your hair is still wet when you apply the natural conditioner. Hold the product in place for approximately 5 minutes and proceed with the usual rinsing and drying.
If used as a gel: if you want to use it to better block hairstyles, use it as you would use a normal gel. So, apply a small amount of product on the area of hair you want to fix.
If used as a mask: apply it on all hair, including the scalp and let it sit for a whole night. Remember to cover the head with a clean towel, the kitchen wrap paper or a shower cap to avoid getting grease on everything. The following morning, you can proceed with the usual shampoo. As always, I recommend using a natural or delicate shampoo.
Of course, you can use hot water to make sure you remove the product and not leave your hair greasy, but as always I suggest you make a final rinse with cold water to close the hair keratin scales.
ATTENTION!! The amazing thing about this mask/gel is that you can keep it in the fridge for two weeks. Fantastic right? 🤩 Just make sure the gel is stored in a glass jar that can be closed after each use. This is to prevent the active ingredients of the product from being lost.
This multipurpose gel is fantastic, right?
In fact, at the same time, you can use it to model and tame unruly hair and nourish your hair, helping hair growth. So if you happen to be in a hurry and do not have time for your weekly treatment, you can apply this gel. In this way, you will have a fantastic and tidy hairstyle and you will give your hair its weekly treatment against hair loss.
Here is some feedback of these 5 natural hair loss remedies
Avocado and Flax seeds
So, without a doubt, my favorites natural hair loss remedies are:
Hair mask with avocado
Hair mask, gel, and conditioner with Flaxseeds
These two are in fact the remedies that gave me more satisfaction from the point of view of hair growth. After using these 2 natural hair loss remedies my hair was visibly more elastic and strong. They broke a lot less, I found less hair in the bathtub. Even for split ends, they worked wonders. I do not mean to say that they have disappeared, even if I wish so😅, but it took much longer for new ones to appear.
I already use coconut oil regularly. Twice a week I prepare a hair pack of coconut oil and essential oil of jasmine. I adore jasmine smell. So now I think my hair and my scalp are addicted to this product. Maybe it’s time to change the favorite natural products for a while, what you say?😂😅 At least to give my hair time to get “unused” to this product. For this reason, the results I saw were not as surprising as with the other 2 natural hair loss remedies. But still, I really recommend coconut oil. Your hair will be so healthy and strong that you want not come back❣
Unfortunately, olive oil is too much for my hair. I don’t have too dry skin so after using it my hair remained heavy and got dirty easily. This, however, does not mean that it does not work for you. I remind you that each of us is different and maybe what doesn’t work for me is good for you. The secret here is to keep on trying. 😊
I also had good results with orange juice. After rinsing with orange juice, the hair smells great, is shiny and voluminous. With this natural remedy, my hair was much stronger. Being healthy, they also grow up with a certain speed. There is a very funny test I do to see if my hair is fit or not, maybe I’ll talk about it in a future article.😂
I strongly recommend orange juice for those looking for healthier and strongerhair and for those who try to combat hair loss.
Well, girls, we’re done for today too. I hope you enjoy these 5 natural hair loss remedies, but above all, I hope you find this article useful.
